Pets — a cell-level coordination layer.
ConKarma helps your family coordinate pet care — vaccination reminders, vet contact info, behavior alerts, care preferences for sitter handoffs, rotation of feeding/walking duty via Family Captain. It is not a vet platform. In a pet emergency, call your vet or pet-emergency service. ConKarma's pets feature is a cell-level coordination layer that helps your family manage pet care together. It tracks vaccination dates with reminders, your vet's contact info and after-hours fallback, behavior alerts you choose to log, and per-pet care preferences like feeding and walking schedules. It also rotates feeding, walking, and vet-call duties through the Family Captain rotation and surfaces a per-pet section in any sitter brief.
It is not a vet platform. ConKarma doesn't book appointments, predict or diagnose pet health, or detect breed from photos. In a pet emergency, call your vet or pet-emergency service. All pet data stays cell-private and is never shared with third parties.
What we coordinate
Vaccination dates with reminders (one notification per vaccine per renewal window; no escalation). Your vet’s contact info and after-hours fallback. Behavior alerts you choose to log (medication times, anxiety triggers, food avoidances). Care preferences per pet (feeding schedule, walking schedule, places they aren’t allowed). All cell-private; nothing shared with third parties.
Sitter brief pet section
A sitter session’s brief includes a per-pet section: the pet’s name, species, the cell’s chosen care notes, the vet’s contact, the after-hours fallback, the location of food and leash. Medical and behavioral notes are surfaced at the level the cell chose; sensitive medical detail is left to your judgement to share or omit.
Family Captain rotation
The week’s pet-care duties (feeding morning, feeding evening, walks, vet calls) rotate via the Family Captain rotation that the cell sets up. Rotations skip cell-mates marked away or in soft-mode (see /help/cell-crisis-soft-mode). The fair-share floor from /help/lotteries applies if the cell uses a lottery to break ties.
Pet-loss grief support
When a pet dies, the cell can move to a pet-bereavement soft-mode — vaccination reminders stop, sitter briefs no longer surface the pet, the family-reveal doesn’t auto-include pet photos. What we deliberately don’t do
We are not a vet platform. We do not book vet appointments. We do not predict pet health. We do not diagnose pet disease. We do not detect breed or health from photos. We do not refer to pet insurance. We do not classify by breed for any feature gating. We do not build a pet social network. Hard-delete via /privacy.
