ConKarma is a private app for you and your family where you do daily quests, build streaks, look after a virtual pet, and earn DNA you can spend in the app. There are no ads, no strangers, and no followers — just you and the people who love you. Each day you get a small set of quests, like making your bed or reading for ten minutes, and finishing one earns you DNA.

Streaks don't punish you for a bad day: if you miss one, a freeze covers you, and there are no big red Xs or guilt notifications. When you've earned enough DNA you can spend it in the app on cosmetics, boosters, and gifts to your Cell, and a grown-up in your Cell approves anything that costs real money first. Nobody outside your Cell sees what you write or do, and we never sell your information.

01

Quests, not chores

Each day you get a small set of quests — make your bed, read for ten minutes, help with dinner, the kind of thing that adds up over a week. Finish a quest and you earn DNA. Some days are bigger quests; some days are tiny ones. You always get to see what's coming.

02

A pet that lives on your wrist

Your virtual pet grows with you. Cosmetics for your pet are unlocked as you build streaks, and you can use the watch (Apple Watch or Wear OS) to check on it from your wrist between activities. The longer your streak, the cooler the pet looks.

03

Streaks that don't punish you for a bad day

Build a streak by completing one habit a day. If you miss a day, a freeze covers you — you don't lose the streak just because you forgot once. We don't show big red Xs or guilt-trip notifications. The point is the rhythm, not the score.

04

Rewards you can actually use

Earn DNA for your habits, quests, and helping out — then spend it in the app on cosmetics to make your space yours, boosters, and gifts you can send to people in your Cell. A grown-up in your Cell approves anything that costs real money first. No surprise charges. No strangers seeing what you do.

05

Your space, kept safe

Nobody outside your Cell sees what you write or what you do in the app. We don't show you ads. We don't sell your information — ever. The grown-ups in your family decide together with you what gets shared and what stays private. If anything ever feels weird, ask the grown-up who set up your account, or ping us at parents@conkarma.app.

06

Kid Mode is on by default if you’re under 13

You get a simpler home screen with just today’s quests, your streak, and your DNA. No setup screens, no things you don’t need yet. Family Shield and the grown-up stuff live elsewhere until you’re older. On your 13th birthday, the app asks if you want the full version — your call. Parents see everything either way.

07

Build your own look

You pick your avatar — hair, skin, eyes, outfit, accessories. It shows up on your profile and next to your name in the cell. New outfits and accessories unlock when you complete quests or open a habit pack. You can change everything as often as you want.

08

A pet that grows with you (coming soon)

A tiny pet that lives on your home screen and on your wrist. You feed it when you finish quests, dress it from cosmetics you unlock, take it on adventures during longer streaks. We're still building this — it ships when we're sure it's the right shape, not when an investor deck says it should.

09

If you can't read yet, the app reads to you

Tap a quest and the app reads it out loud — so kids who haven't learned to read yet can still know what's on the list. Completion celebrations get spoken too, with their name. The words come in your family's language. When you start reading on your own, you can turn this off in Settings. Until then, the app meets you where you are.

10

Sibling conflict resolution — structured, not scripted

When two kids fight, the app offers a structured repair flow each kid can choose to engage with. Each picks from curated 'what happened' cards; the app matches the pair into a shared prompt; both confirm before it lands. The parent sees that a repair flow ran and the framing prompt the kids agreed on — but never which card each kid picked. Parent-visible audit, not surveillance. No AI in the loop. See /help/sibling-conflict-resolution.

11

Allowance — Spend, Save, Give

A three-bucket allowance pattern: Spend (immediate), Save (longer-horizon), Give (charitable). The kid picks the split per allowance period. The Give bucket flows to a vetted charity the kid picks; the parent authorises the actual disbursement (charity-side payment processing the kid shouldn't be doing alone). See /features/give-jar.

12

Companion pet — grows with you, never dies

A persistent pet that grows alongside your streaks. Sleeps when you sleep, idle animations through the day. Cosmetic items (hats, collars, themes) are optional and don't affect growth. The pet never dies from neglect — it just naps more. Color-blind palettes + reduced-motion respect from day one. See /features/companion-pet.

13

Streak shields — protect a streak across a bad week

A small earned bank of shields that absorb a missed day on a duty. Earned by sustained activity; cannot be bought with DNA, EGO, or real money. Medication-adherence duties and other safety-critical streaks are non-shieldable by design — those duties show a non-shieldable badge so the streak is the honest count. See /features/streak-shields.

14

Kid Mode — server-side age-tier filter

An age-tier filter applied in the BE, not the client, so a tampered build can't lift it. Under-13 accounts (configurable up by the cell owner) see only the age-appropriate slice of every surface — no Ember entry point, no adult conflict-resolution prompts, no Wishbook affiliate-buy CTAs. See /help/kid-mode + /parents for the parent-side controls.

15

Anti-Bark stance

ConKarma is not surveillance software. We don't ship keystroke logging, message scanning, GPS tracking, or web-history reporting to parents. What we do ship is parent-visible audit — the parent sees that flows happened (repair flow ran; allowance disbursement requested; a cosmetic unlocked) without seeing the contents of those flows. Agency for the kid, oversight for the parent. The two aren't opposites.

Ask a grown-up to help you install

If you're under 13, your parent or guardian needs to set up your account with you. Show them this page or send them to /parents — there's a whole guide there for grown-ups.
