Auto-completing missions from your health data
If you opt in, ConKarma can read daily totals from Apple HealthKit (iOS) or Google Fit / Health Connect (Android) and auto-tick missions when you cross the threshold you set. Off by default, opt-in per category, on-device threshold check only.
If you opt in, ConKarma can read daily totals from Apple HealthKit on iOS or Google Fit / Health Connect on Android and auto-tick missions when you cross a threshold you set. It's off by default, opt-in per category, and the threshold check happens on-device — raw health values never reach our servers. Supported categories are steps, distance, active minutes, sleep hours, and mindful minutes; heart rate, weight, blood pressure, and other categories are never read.
When you attach a health threshold to a mission, the app reads that category's daily total once a day in the foreground and ticks the mission if you've crossed the threshold. You grant or revoke each category from Settings → Integrations or your system settings.
What can connect
On iOS we read from Apple HealthKit. On Android we read from Google Fit on older devices and Health Connect on newer ones (the system picks for you). Both flows use the platform's standard permission sheet — we never see the raw data unless you grant the specific category.
Categories supported
Steps, distance (in metres), active minutes, sleep hours, mindful minutes. We don't read heart rate, weight, blood pressure, or any other category. If you don't grant a category, the auto-tagging for that category simply doesn't run — every other category continues working independently.
How auto-tagging works
When you create or edit a mission, you can attach a health-data threshold ("walked 5 km today", "slept at least 7 hours"). Once a day, in the foreground, the app reads the daily total for that category from the platform and ticks the mission if you've crossed the threshold. The check happens locally on your device — we never send raw health values to our servers.
Granting permission
Settings → Integrations → Apple Health (or Google Fit / Health Connect) shows the per-category toggle. Grant only the categories you want auto-tagged. The system permission sheet remembers your choice; you can change it any time.
Revoking
Two ways: Settings → Integrations inside ConKarma flips the category off (auto-tagging stops); the system Settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → ConKarma; Android: Settings → Apps → ConKarma → Permissions) revokes the underlying read permission. Either path works; the second is broader.
Privacy
We don't write back to the platform health store. We don't store raw health values on our servers — only the derived 'crossed the threshold today, yes/no' signal that completes the mission. Categories you never grant are never read. See /privacy §2.4 for the full data-handling story.
Frequently asked questions
Does this work on Android as well as iPhone?
Yes. On iOS it reads from Apple HealthKit; on Android it reads from Google Fit on older devices and Health Connect on newer ones, with the system picking for you. Both use the platform's standard permission sheet.
Which health categories can ConKarma read?
Steps, distance, active minutes, sleep hours, and mindful minutes — nothing else. Heart rate, weight, and blood pressure are never read, and any category you don't grant simply doesn't run.
Does my raw health data get sent to your servers?
No. The threshold check happens locally on your device, and we store only the derived "crossed the threshold today, yes/no" signal — never raw health values. We also don't write anything back to the platform health store.
How do I turn this off?
Two ways: Settings → Integrations inside ConKarma flips the category off and stops auto-tagging, or your system settings revoke the underlying read permission entirely. Either path works; the system-settings route is broader.
