If your cell already has Family, the Adult tier sits on top as a bundle add-on at a smaller monthly fee than the standalone Adult plan. This page walks through who's eligible, what the math is, and which guarantees stay in place — especially the COPPA boundaries on the family side.
The math
All prices are marketing labels anchored at $X9.99; specific store-listing prices vary by region and currency, set in the App Store / Play Store consoles. The bundle saves on the Adult side relative to standalone, not on the Family side.

Who's eligible
Any couple cell where (a) the cell already has Family active, and (b) both partners have completed Adult-tier age verification on their own devices. The Adult tier never auto-enables for a Family subscriber — it's an explicit opt-in per partner per device, gated by the same 18+ verification + biometric requirements as a standalone Adult subscription.
What each side covers
Family covers the Premium-equivalent layer for every adult in the cell — parent dashboard, allowance reports, shared cosmetic packs, cell-wide theme, plus everything in Premium. Adult adds the couple-tier safety infrastructure: pre-scene limits document, partner-agreed safeword, aftercare flow, scene-state HUD, double-blind matching, the Ember Wishbook variant, and the Ember Truth-or-Dare variant. The two layers do not overlap — Family is family-oriented, Adult is couple-oriented, and the in-app paywall handles entitlement per surface.
COPPA boundaries that stay in place
The bundle does not weaken any of the child-account guarantees. The adult zone stays physically separated from the Serene zone. Children are still blocked at the API by the RefuseIfChildUser middleware on every Adult-tier endpoint. Adult-tier surfaces never appear in any view a child can reach. The Family side carries the parental-consent flow + the published retention schedule. Buying the bundle does not change a child account's posture in any way.
How the in-app paywall handles entitlement
Each subscription resolves to a per-account entitlement set when the in-app paywall consults the store-side receipt. The bundle is recognised when the same account holds both Family + Adult SKUs simultaneously; the paywall surfaces the bundled price labels in the app's Settings → Subscription view so the savings are visible end-to-end. If either side lapses, the entitlement set narrows to what's still active without breaking the cell.
Cancellation + pause
The Pause-don't-cancel pattern from /pricing applies to the bundle too. You can pause both Family and Adult independently for 1, 2, or 3 months; the cell stays warm, your data + streaks + cosmetics stay intact, and billing resumes only on the date you picked. Cancelling only Adult leaves Family active and vice versa — the bundle is not a single SKU, it's two SKUs that recognise each other for the savings math.
Region + currency
Specific regional pricing lives in the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Microsoft Store consoles — not in this page. The $X9.99 labels here are the marketing anchor for the US-equivalent posture. Local prices follow store policy + currency conversion. The bundle savings ratio (~$27/yr versus both standalone) holds approximately across regions but the exact local-currency delta may differ.
