The cell-shared registry of dates that matter
Important Dates is a cell-private registry — birthdays, anniversaries, milestones, memorial dates. Each member tunes their own reminder cadence; nobody else can over-ride it.
Important Dates is a cell-private registry for the dates that matter to your household — birthdays, anniversaries, milestones, and memorial dates. To add one, go to Cell → Important Dates → Add, pick the type, choose the people it concerns, set the date, and add an optional note. Anyone in the cell can add a date; adults see everything, while kids see only the dates that are theirs or that affect the household.
Each member tunes their own reminder cadence and nobody else can override it. Open a date, go to Reminders, and choose none, day-of, day-before, week-before, or a custom mix. Your choice doesn't affect anyone else's, and reminders arrive on the channels you've configured for that category.
Adding a date
Cell → Important Dates → Add. Pick the type (birthday, anniversary, milestone, memorial), the people it concerns (one or many), the date, and an optional note. Anyone in the cell can add; adults see everything, kids see only the dates that are theirs or that affect the household.
Reminder cadence (per member)
Open the date → Reminders. Pick none, day-of, day-before, week-before, or a custom mix. Each cell member sets their own; your choice doesn't affect anyone else's. The reminder lands on the channels you've configured for the date-and-occasion category in Settings → Notifications.
Memorial dates and away-pause
Mark a date as memorial when adding it. The reminder still fires but the language softens — no celebration framing. When cell-quest is active, memorial dates auto-pause the quest for the day without breaking the streak.
Editing and deleting
Any cell member can edit a date they added. Cell-owners can edit anyone's. Deletion is a hard delete (no recycle bin) so be sure before tapping — the reminder cadence and the date itself both go.
