What Paired does better
Paired is the breakout app in the modern couples-app category and there's a reason — the daily-question + card-deck shape they ship is the cleanest version of that mechanic on the market. The editorial team is strong; the cadence is well-paced; the in-app design is excellent. If you and your partner want exactly the daily-question + card-deck loop and don't want the rest of a family-cell layer in the same app, Paired is the right choice. The product is focused, the cost is reasonable, and the daily-question experience genuinely matches what we ship (we both made the same editorial-first design call for the same reasons).
What ConKarma does better
ConKarma is broader. The daily-question loop you'd get from Paired ships in ConKarma's couple cell with parity. But the same account also carries the family cell (if you have kids), the shared calendar, the grocery list, the streak shields, the companion pet, the conflict-resolution flows for sibling + cross-gen moments. And the adult-tier Ember zone — with its limits doc, safeword, aftercare check-ins, and the double-blind consent matching — is something Paired explicitly stays away from. If you're in a household with kids, in a sandwich-gen position, or want the intimacy + couples layer in one app, ConKarma is the consolidation.
