Why every family app needs a Daily Question — the loop that ConKarma built around

Server-side we see counts (capacity planning) but never the question-and-answer content.
Nothing is read by an AI — not the questions (they're editorial), not the answers (we never see them). That last line is the one we want to be most defensible on. The Daily Question loop is exactly the kind of surface that competing platforms would describe as "AI-powered" and quietly mean "we read the answers to improve the prompts". We do not. We can't, because the architecture won't let us, and we don't want to even if it could. ## What's next The first version ships with one question per day, per cell. Future versions will add: opt-in weekly themes (a week of work-life prompts, a week of intimacy-friendly prompts for Ember couples), per-member alternate prompts (so when one cell member wants a different angle they can pick), and a longitudinal Sunday view that surfaces a week's worth of answers in one read. None of those will involve a model. If you want to see the loop in action, install the app, set up a couple or family cell, and let it run for a week. The first three questions will feel small. By day five, it will start to feel like a ritual. That's the whole pitch. It's not a clever app feature. It's a small daily conversation, scaffolded by a curated prompt, run privately, and built to survive the bad weeks. We think every family app should have something like it.
